Corn Festival!

A couple of weeks ago Derrick and I went to the Corn Festival in North Ridgeville with Derrick's mom, step dad and Zoey. It was a lot of fun watching Zoey learn how to roll down grassy hills. I had this great strawberry shortcake with ice cream and hard shell chocolate sauce.

The coolest part of the festival was when I met one of the local photographers and his wife. I love his photography and I read her blog. You can view their website at www.rowephotography.com.

Derrick and I also did one of those inflatable jousting games where you put on helmets and try to knock each other off of moving pedestals. Derrick totally kicked my butt! The only time I knocked him down was when I cheated and pushed him with my hands. He thought it was hilarious.

Zoey's Princess Smile

Hope you had a great Memorial Weekend! I had the most social weekend since probably my sorority days in college. Friday night Derrick and I went to my first Rib Cook Off with some friends (more on that in a later post). Saturday night I met up with a bunch of people for a bonfire after I was done photographing a prom. Sunday we went to a cookout with Derrick's family and played outside all day. Monday we went to another cookout at Derrick's Mom's House and I played with Zoey. Here she is giving me her "princess smile." lol. The flowers behind her are peonies and they smell wonderful! Derrick's Mom has them all over her house. The blooms are the same size as hydrangea blooms. I've been trying to teach Zoey how to do a cartwheel which is pretty entertaining. I don't think I was able to do one until I was in high school.

Happy Belated Halloween!

Halloween was a lot of fun. This was the first year I got to decorate and pass out candy. Stacy brought Zoey over for Trick-or-Treating in her princess costume with a jumpsuit underneath to keep her warm. This picture really shows what a little punk she is. She cracks me up. She won't share with anyone except for her Auntie :) As you can imagine, I ended up wearing the crown by the end of the night because she wanted to dress me up.

Check out our cool lawn chair for furniture :)

Mya had a Halloween costume too!

Fun with Ice Cream

Zoey's been at different relative's houses all week while her parents take care of her new baby sister. I thought I would help tire her out for her Great-Grandma the other night by running around with her, but all I did was get her so excited she couldn't fall asleep. It was so cute because when I drove up the driveway she ran to the screen door and started yelling, "Auntie! Auntie!" Here she is making a mess with a fudgesicle. She's my favorite two year old this side of the Mississippi.
