Mosquitos love me. Unfortunately, I do not love them back. The mosquitos out here are like bad ex-boyfriends on steriods, they keep coming back for more and it drives me crazy. They're seriously at least twice the size as the mosquitos in CA. Each morning I wake up with new bites that swell up and take 2 weeks to disappear. Derrick's grandma told me to spray a mixture of 1/2 listerine and 1/2 dish soap around me and it should keep them away. I haven't tried it out yet because it sounds like an odd smelling mixture and I don't really feel like walking around smelling like the break room in a dentist office. Any anti-mosquito suggestions are greatly appreciated.
After 3 days of thunderstorms and tornado warnings the sun finally came out to say hello. I went to my favorite spot in the park today and took pictures of flowers and birds. It's so peaceful in the park. Yesterday I sat in my car listening to the birds when a deer came walking out of the woods into the parking lot and then into a field of flowers. Of course I didn't have my camera with me. Today I saw; American Goldfinches, Red-Winged Blackbirds and Cardinals. My field guide to North American birds is really coming in handy.
I am currently looking for anyone willing to model in the snow. If you're interested, please send me an email at kimberly@kimberlyapril.com. You can visit my website at www.kimberlyapril.com.
I’m a born and raised Southern California Girl who decided to make a life changing decision and move to the MidWest. I gave myself 1 year to experience the four seasons, push myself to gain independence, meet new people and see what life is like away from the crowded freeways and mild weather. In the process, I have totally fallen in love with Cleveland!
Now I'm just going with the flow and enjoying life, one adventure at a time.
I’m not going on this journey alone. Joining me is my boyfriend Derrick (who grew up in Ohio) and our 2 dogs, Mya and Stitch.
